Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) hold <strong>15 of the 33 total BCCM seats<\/strong>, allocated across six distinct sub-sectors<sup><\/sup>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs):<\/strong> 4 seats (HIV\/AIDS, Malaria, TB, Women &amp; Children)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Key Affected Populations (KAP):<\/strong> 3 seats (PWID\/MSM\/Hijra, CSW\/FSW, CBOs in endemic Malaria regions)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Persons Living with Diseases (PLWD):<\/strong> 3 seats (HIV\/AIDS network, TB network, Hill District Councils)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Academia:<\/strong> 2 seats (Private Universities\/Medical Colleges, Research Institutions)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Private Sector:<\/strong> 2 seats (Trade bodies, employer associations, corporate CSR)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs):<\/strong> 1 seat (Focus on minority representation)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Core Eligibility &amp; Candidate Standards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While each sub-sector maintains specific mandates, candidates and participating organizations must meet standardized requirements to ensure representative leadership<sup><\/sup>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. General Organization Membership Standards<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Legal Registration &amp; Operational History:<\/strong> Organizations must be officially registered or recognized. NGOs require at least 5 years of operation; Academia requires 10 years; KAP and PLWD groups require 3 years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Health Sector Track Record:<\/strong> Demonstrated experience implementing health programs, specifically addressing HIV\/AIDS, TB, or Malaria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Financial &amp; Operational Rigor:<\/strong> NGOs must demonstrate programmatic disbursements of at least Tk. 10 lacs annually over the last 5 years and provide 3 years of audited accounts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Communication &amp; Coordination:<\/strong> Ability to maintain communication channels within their constituency to ensure structured feedback and active participation in the CCM process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Candidate Selection Criteria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Constituency Leadership:<\/strong> Candidates must be recognized leaders who act in the interest of their entire sector rather than individual or organizational gain.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Commitment:<\/strong> Proven track record of constituency participation and a willingness to dedicate time to BCCM activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Exclusion\/Ineligibility:<\/strong> Active Global Fund grant recipients are ineligible to run as candidates to prevent conflicts of interest. Government employees cannot represent the Academia constituency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Election Transparency &amp; Documentation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In accordance with Global Fund guidelines, every elected CCM Member must have an Alternate Member elected from the same constituency<sup><\/sup>.
